Seasonal and permanent exhibits along with shows highlight the visitor's experience to this exciting and educational museum. The Gibbes Planetarium has been providing the community of Columbia with educational programs since 1959. The Gibbes Planetarium home page provides visitors access to public programs, upcoming special events, information on the sky this month, and many other astronomy links. The Planetarium is located within the Columbia Museum of Art. The Planetarium's star projector reels audiences into the far corners of space and transports them through time as it explores astronomical events of the past, present and future according to the latest scientific findings.
