The Main Street Marketplace is an open-air market featuring fresh produce, baked goods, specialty gifts, art, photography, books, Pets Inc., handmade & unique crafts, and much more every Friday beginning September 3 through October 29 from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. The market will be held on Boyd Plaza in front of the Columbia Museum of Art at the corner of Main and Hampton Streets in downtown Columbia. Admission is free. Complimentary shuttle service courtesy of City Center Partnership is available in the 36 block area downtown bounded by Gervais to Elmwood and Assembly to Marion Streets to pick up and drop off attendees. CCP produces the Main Street Marketplace to bring more people to the area to experience everything downtown Columbia has to offer. Christmas Performances
Presented by the Babcock Center and performed at the Koger Center for the Arts, A Christmas Carol returns for it's 18th annual performance. Performances will be November 29 at 7:30pm and November 30 at 2:00pm and 7:30pm. Tickets can be purchased online.
The Columbia City Ballet will perform The Nutcracker at the Koger Center from Dec. 13 through Dec. 22. Tickets can be purchased online.
See Jack Frost performed by the Columbia Marionette Theater. The performance runs on Saturdays at 11:00AM and 3:00PM from Nov. 16 through Dec. 28.
The Sandlapper Singers present 2 performances of Tidings of Comfort and Joy.The Shandon Presbyterian Church will host a performance at 7:30 PM on Friday, Dec.21 and a second performance is scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 22 at the Saxe Gotha Presbyterian Church in Lexington. This show celebrates diversity.
The South Carolina Philharmonic presents Holiday Classics for the season. One performance only on Tuesday, December 3, 2002 at 7:30 pm at the Koger Center for the Arts.
