After Work Canoe Trip
Every Thursday and Friday 6pm
This is a trip that popularized canoeing in Columbia. The trip starts at 6:00pm and ends at 9:00pm. It provides a marvelous antidote to a stressful day. You come back totally refreshed and ready for the next day. The trip starts at the historic Gervais Street Bridge as we float down the Congaree River. A few small rapids are encountered along the way. Most of the bank is wild and remote, which is unusual for a large city like Columbia. You will see lots of birds, large turtles and no telling what else. Sponsored by Adventure Carolina. Cost: $20/person. All equipment and transportation is provided. For more information call (803) 796-4505.
