Heathwood Park is in the Heathwood neighborhood, on Abelia Rd. close to Beltline. Oddly, there is no public park sign posted at this park. Heathwood Park has a neighborhood center, tennis court, handball court, picnic shelter and a water spray. Their play equipment is great, not only having your typical climbing structures and swings, but also sand digging toys, small spin-around ride-ons, and springy seesaws.

Offstreet parking, water, and restrooms are available. The community center offers access to computers with Internet access. The center is open from 2:00PM-6:00PM weekdays. The water spray is usually on during the day in the summer time but you may want to call ahead.
Heathwood Park Center
The park is very shady and well maintained. There is a walking/jogging trail that passes by the park. See the signs on Abelia Rd.

To get there, take Forest Dr. to Beltline. Turn right on Beltline then take a left onto Devereaux Rd. Two blocks down, take a left onto Kawana Rd. The park is on the right.
