Located near the intersection of North Main St. and Monticello Rd., Dr. Joshua Fulton Ensor built this house in 1868 for his family as he served as Superintendent for what is now the South Carolina State Hospital.

In the 1940's the Keenan family acquired the property and renovated the house, adding bathrooms and a new kitchen. The Keenan House now serves as an adult recreation center and is most popular as a rental facility for parties, weddings, and reunions.

The grounds are beautifully landscaped and include concrete picnic tables, a fountain, and a pond. To get there from downtown, take Main St. north. Wildwood Ave. will be on the right just after Monticello Rd. splits off.
