SCE&G; Park - Lake Murray

SCE&G; maintains a park for public use on both sides of the dam.

Beach at Lake Murray
Closed while the lake is lowered! The park on the west side of the dam has a sand beach, roped-off swimming area, covered picnic tables, and restrooms. A great place for a picnic and a swim, this is a popular park. Shelters can be reserved for groups by calling the number above. There is no lifeguard on duty. (Please note that swimming will not be allowed while the lake levels are lowered- Fall 2002 until 2005)

The park on the east side of the dam has restrooms, picnic tables, and a boat ramp. The boat ramp will remain open while the lake levels are lowered.

Both parks charge a $3 parking fee for cars, $2 for motorcycles, $5 for buses. A season pass can be purchased for $45. Pets are not allowed.

Hours are M-F 11:00AM-8:00PM, S-S 10:00AM-8:00PM, subject to change.

To get there, take Lake Murray Blvd (Highway 6) towards the lake (west from I-26, east from Lexington). The park entrances are on the north side of the road on either side of the dam.
