This lovely park is well hidden in a pleasant neighborhood of well-maintained older homes. It is a peaceful park that has been beautifully landscaped. It is enclosed by a metal and stone fence and landscape bushes.

Melrose Park Neighborhood Center
There are restrooms in the neighborhood center and water fountains are available. The community center offers access to computers with Internet access. The center is open from 2:00PM-6:00PM weekdays. Parking can be difficult as there is no parking lot and the streets around the park are narrow.

Melrose Park Playground
The playground has plenty to do, including a "rock" climbing section and a 3-lane slide. There are bouncy horses and swings as well as a sliding ride thing. There are several shaded benches and a sheltered picnic table as well as a water spray. The water spray isn't always turned on so call ahead if you want to be sure it will be on while you are visiting.

To get there, from Gervais St. turn onto Senate St. The park is at Senate St. and Fairview Rd.
