Olympia Park is located in the historic Olympia-Granby Mill area downtown. Across the street from the impressive, abandoned Olympia Mill, it appears to be a tiny green space with shrubs, crepe myrtles, and picnic tables.

If you take the time to explore it, you will find the path leads you over a curved bridge, around a tall hedge area, along a stream, to a playground. More picnic tables are located along the stream as well. The park actually covers 4.98 acres.
As you walk along, you may notice some interesting old brick walls that angle out into the stream. What did they used to be? If anyone knows, please e-mail us and we will update the page.

The playground is old and not very well maintained. The slide is metal and unshaded so watch out. The swings are sturdy but the chains are rusty and the bouncy horse no longer bounces. None of that seemto to bother the kids who were playing there.

Children may be fascinated by the "cave", some part of an old waterworks that the stream flows out of. The stream was moves pretty fast through there so you probably don't want to allow them to explore it. They may also like checking out the large bolders poking up out of the stream.
To get there, take Assembly St. out of Columbia to Whaley St. Turn right onto Whaley and proceed to Olympia Ave, turn left.
Pacific Park is just up the street so check it out!
